Worts of Wisdom meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings start with a Social “Hour”, from 6:30pm – 7:15pm. This is time to share homebrews, so feel free to bring something to share. Often members put a description by their beer with some information, and room for comments from others at the meeting.
7:15pm – 9:30pm is the actual meeting if you aren’t interested in the social hour. The first 30 minutes is review of old club business, followed by announcements, such as results from the competition committee, event committee announcements, etc. Generally we follow this with a presentation by a member or an invited guest on a topic relating to brewing process, or a beer style. This is followed by a tasting of club member beers brewed to the “style of the month”. We usually follow up with any final business, and then wrap up for the evening.
We are happy to see new brewers drop in for a meeting. “Beer Style of the Month” is decided by the club on a semi-annual basis. For those bringing beer for this portion of the meeting, we request you bring a Growler, a 6-pack, or 3x 22oz. bottles so everyone can taste. Tastings are followed with commentary from the brewer, and analysis and feedback from fellow club members.
