August 2017 – Meeting Minutes
Our minutes from the August meeting are below.

- NonProfit Adventures – it is a slog but I know what we need to do now. By the end of August we should be officially incorporated as a nonprofit social club, which is not the conclusion but the start of a bunch of other things we need to do. But it’s happening!

- Had second Women and Beer mtg last week – 70 people signed up for emails Lisa came up with good bingo game Then invite participants to regular WoW meetings after they are more comfortable

- Alvaro gave a great presentation and we sampled Gordon Biersch Marzen and Keith Kost’s homebrewed Marzen
- Next month is a style from the horn of Africa called suwa or telle Woman that runs an Eritrean store sold him the authentic ingredients

Entries received, assigned to flights, bottle comp is next Saturday at the 21A in San Leandro, could use stewards
There may be SM County FF pins for judges/stewards
10 keg comp entrants at this time, there is room for more, email Jon Kissinger if you still want to get a keg in
Keg comp is people’s choice on the day of the chili cookoff
Winner of keg comp gets the firefighter’s hat

- Volunteers for the NCHF Committee – weekly meetings for planning

- Need a sign with lights that can be read after dark
- Booth setup and decorations?
- Do we want to pull off a camp theme? This topic always gets glossed over at meetings. Need to decide ASAP so we can attempt to pull something together.
- Campsite setup:
- We reserved several campsites (thanks all!) for the night before, so we should have a nice area for WoW to cram into and setup basecamp
- Potluck again for Friday evening? Seems to work out nicely. We’ll have signup sheet available soon.
